I cannot use OpenDNS at home... whenever I try to change the DNS servers I
get a message saying that the parameters won't be active until next time I
reconnect, so I disconnect and reconnect and at that time the radiobutton
in
the Genaral properties of the TCP/IP protocol is back to "obtain DNS
server
addresses automatically". Basically I'm screwed...
However this doens't seem to be the main problem. Since last Friday, I
cannot connect to mangband.org at work either... And at work I got LAN
connection with fixed DNS servers, so I changed them to the ones from
OpenDNS (the OpenDNS site correctly tells me that I'm using OpenDNS)...
still no luck. I asked some people in my family and some friends to try to
connect (they all live near Paris, France)... still no luck. mangband.org
seems to be located in the twilight zone for us frenchies :/
Pinging directly the IP (89.16.180.26) leads to 100% packet loss. Tracing
the IP stops somewhere at eru.dh.bytemark.co.uk and doesn't go beyond this
point... I'm totally lost here. Any help would be appreciated (while I
can't
play, other guys start to find all the arts on the instance :)... I'd like
to catch up :))
