Because the enchantment changes the gloves themselves. Simply having
free action from a random source does not change the gloves.

worn?
Because they are extremely flexible, beyond the normal limits of the
material. They feel different only in not constraining the subtle and
delicate movements used in spell-casting.
>If gloves of FA feel different when worn, shouldn't warriors notice when
wielding?
Warriors use their hands to hit things with other things. This does not
require the subtle finger movements of a mage, so a warrior would not
notice the difference.
>If FA makes gloves feel different, why not boots and chainmail as well?
Because nobody is wiggling their toes in an intricate and exacting
pattern. Well, maybe hobbits should recognize footwear with Free Action.
"Ah! It's like being barefoot!" I think Free Action on body armor should
negate "to-hit" penalties and be obvious.

dex]?
Gloves of Thievery make you want to stick your hands in somebody else's
pockets and take their stuff. So, no, to an "adventurer" they do not
feel different.

Avenger should be a Paladin title,
not an ego item.
