You're right, I think. Inventory size affects the cut-off of what is
perceived
as useful, and what is perceived as not-worth-the-space. That cut-off line
would
move if no-sell were implemented without any adjustment of inventory size.


Sorry if this (imaginary) spectrum of usefulness is not intuitive ... or
badly
explained.

Anyway, while im****tant, I think that's not really critical to the
sell/no-sell
question. Inventory size, like gold drops, can be scaled one way or the
other,
almost continously, until the game is balanced* (inventory management can
be as
difficult as desired, player budget can be as limited as desired). The
question
is not whether the game *can* be balanced with no-sell, but whether a
balanced
"no-sell" version would be more fun than a balanced "sell" version.

My feeling is that a balanced "no-sell" version would be more fun.
