It doesn't make inventory management less im****tant. It changes what is
im****tant. Items become im****tant according to how useful they are rather
than how much they sell for.

It has nothing to do with low turncount. I started experimenting with no
selling long before I even thought about turncount.

Do you want to play an adventurer out to topple Morgoth?
Or do you want to play a scavenger out to collect stuff for the days
sales?

I don't know how many people are actually recommending no selling, but
since
the only people who try are those who are prodded into it, it is not
surprising that no inexperienced players are talking about it. They have
never tried it in the first place.

For example, playing with selling, a wand of sleep monster is something to
sell. Playing with no selling, I sometimes use it a couple of trips after
I
found it. Is the game better if I am more likely to use items? IMO it
is.

I don't see why it is more fun than finding an equal amount of gold.
Perhaps
the gold drops are too common and correspondingly too small to be
exciting.
That could be adjusted.

Perhaps there should not be tons of useless junk to be confronted with.

This brings up an interesting point. It will be extremely hard for Andrew
to
address TMJ so long as it is not clear what is junk and for how long.

Here is something to consider. If Andrew made the claim that turning off
selling would make his attacks on TMJ easier to manage, would you be
willing
to give up your perceived gameplay benefits from selling to facilitate
him?
