Any kind of item scumming works, be it ID stair-hopping, luring the
banshee to the animated forest, pickpocketing religiously in the regular
game or the gremlin bomb in the water dragons cave.
Without item scumming, if you get crowned before the TOEFL, you're
likely to get an artifact weapon. Burning arrows are usually not that
much of a problem.
