I think your DV/PV is sufficient to just pass through. Only a few of
animated trees are going to actually want to hurt you. Rest won't care.
If you get surrounded just wait until they make space for you to move.
It would be best if you don't stay there too long as there is little
loot. Some monsters spawn but they get pummeled by trees.
I recommend changing equipment a bit.

Skullcrusher is only by 3 DV points worse then your medium ****eld [+3]
thanks to your skill with clubs. I would wield it in case some trees
need persuasion. Also, wear this:

>    normal girdle of carrying [+0, +0]

That should get you enough speed to get through without problems.
