True. I think the best way to improve your damage is by wi****ng
for the 'find weakness' skill. This will allow some of your shots
to bypass your enemies PV. This was the only way I could inflict
damage on some monsters in the game. Wishes aren't guaranteed, by
any means, but if you are fortunate enough to get one, I think
the 'find weakness' skill is more valuable than an amulet of life
saving. Of course orcs and dark elves start with 'find weakness'.

It *is* isn't it! I also loved not having to worry about ever
being disarmed. Sweet.

I don't think that offensive wand use is allowed in the 'fling the
bling' challenge. I think the only allowed method of inflicting
damage is thrown coins. Even saccing monsters is forbidden, I think.

Were you able to get the SoCR's from the dwarven mystic? I
have a theory about that. I think you have to hold either
N- or N+ for about 2000 turns, before chatting with the
mystic, in order to get the scrolls. Otherwise, you get the
single PoGA and the two potions of training.
There is a 'fling the bling' thread over at the HoF. If
you try this challenge again, you should consider giving
it a look. There might be something helpful in there.
