Blessed Burdened Coward

Oerkki91 was named after his first kill, an orc, and the number of
orc-murders 
he was to commit in order to complete the Courage quest. He was an orcish
monk, 
a strong and tough youngster who started his journey quite well. He
descended 
down the SMC and down further to HMV. He found two neutral altars and
tried to 
get precrowned but only got "absolutely close". As he didn't want to be
crowned 
just yet, he went and tried to get his alignment to N- or N+ which
subsequently 
hampered his precrowning wishes (still don't know what went wrong there,
he just 
wasn't precrowning material, I guess). Then he cleared the PC and killed 
Keethrax in Berserk mode, easily. At that time he was L12 or so. Then off
to CoC.

This PC was lucky (I guess that Treasure Finder does make a difference).
He 
found a RoDS quite early on but saved it till he found Khelavaster. He
found 
7LBs after day 30 (he was still in PC the first time, not visited CoC
yet). He 
was crowned with the ring of immunity and there was a surge of power in
PC1 
(Ironfist). He also found or pickpocketed two rings of Ice along the way. 
(Pickpocketing regularly and Treasure Finder combined are almost
cheating.)

He drank a lot of pools, which made him both invisible and teleporting
(without 
control), but drinking more from other pools saved him from these
afflictions. 
He killed a lot of blink dogs before that but just couldn't get a corpse.

Otherwise it was normal, straightforward story, but after finding the
Banshee 
level, he remembered that some people had used the Banshee for scumming
the 
living forest (I've never tried that). He lured the Banshee there and set
her 
loose. A lot of logs, missiles, rings, scrolls and potions were
subsequently 
found, but the Banshee was gaining levels fast. The PC decided to flee and
let 
the Banshee calm among the great trees for a while. He went on to clear
the 
Water Temple but below that he found a big room full of Frost Giant Jarls
who 
were dealing too much damage for the moment. He fled again and decided to
go to 
the TotHK to get the ring. Upon ascending, he thought he might go through
the 
forest (as he remembered there was an Emperor Lich in the Dwarven Halls)
now 
that it was a lot spacier with the Banshee screaming.

You can guess what happened. Phew. Forgot to plug the ears again - instant

death. I still can't believe I was that stupid.
