Hello all,
I've been playing Nethack for years and I just recently started ADOM.
I think I'm doing ok - my human warriors consistently finish the
village dungeon, but after that I'm not sure what to do. So I have
some questions.
How do I id items in this game? In NH I use shops to price id stuff,
but in ADOM I'm at a loss because I don't even know how to find
scrolls of identify. I found an altar and was sacing monsters on it,
but I only got messages that my god was pleased... not sure if I could
get anything else.
My method so far has been, make human warrior, do village dungeon.
Last night I finished it and survived the walk back (yay!) What do I
do after that? Am I supposed to build a bridge some where?
What talents and skills are good for low level characters? I've been
focusing on First Aide, Find Weakness, Stealth, Food Preservation,
Dodge, and Athletics. For Talents I usually get Quicky, Healthy,
Faster Learner, and Aggressive.
Also, what does a staff of the void do? I saw one at the black market
and am curious.
And finally, do a lot of people try for these special endings?
Endings where I have to be careful about what I kill first and cats in
general ... and ... well its very confusing. What is the route for a
"normal" ending?
