I've managed once with the following criteria:
- Blessed potions of visibility (four over the course of the game,
luckily there was a potion shop at D:1)
- Farsight
- Bolt spell
By casting farsight, then drinking the potion and then immediately
talking to the Arena Master, killing seven creatures before the potion
wore off was quite possible (unfortunately I used the first potion
poorly and thus needed four potions to complete the quest). It takes a
lot longer, but it's quite possible.
