I think the message was "Ugh, I am so hungry". Many monsters can
say this. And ofcourse it gives a lawfull boost to give food to
them. They even eat bad herbs. I would like to try to give a
dwarf corpse to a hungry dwarf! Or how about a cute dog corpse to
a hungry tiny girl?
