rec.games.roguelike.adom FAQ -- newbies please read

by =?iso-8859-1?Q?L=E9on?= Planken <lplanken@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Jan 30, 2008 at 08:47 PM

Dear newsgroup,

this a posting to remind you of the existence of the
rec.games.roguelike.adom FAQ. The FAQ is a resource for people who are
new to this newsgroup or Usenet in general. Its purpose is to aid in
getting to know the local customs, and especially the "do"s and "don't"s
of this place.

By all means read the FAQ if any of the following applies to you:
* You don't know what "Usenet" or "Netiquette" is, or think this
newsgroup is just another web forum.
* You have recently received a post asking you to...
... "please quote what you are replying to".
  ... "keep attributions intact".
... "snip what you are not replying to".
* You think that "u" is a personal pronoun or wonder why your questions
are not answered, even though you asked them three times in two hours.
* You wonder what all this "YASD", "YAVP", "YAGBU" and "RFE" stuff is
  all about.
* You don't know what spoiler space is, don't know what it is good for,
or wonder why people complain if you don't use it.
* You have found a bug in ADOM and want it fixed.
* You have an idea for a new feature in ADOM and would like to see it
  implemented.
* You are looking for more ADOM-related resources on the Internet.

The FAQ can be found at:
  http://www.andywlms.com/adom/rgrafaq.html

Near the top of that page, you will also find links to a plain text
version of the FAQ and to its companion, the ADOM FAQ, which answers
questions related to ADOM in general, not this newsgroup in particular.
