[SR4] Combat spells through windows

Hi! 

One thing I'm wondering about in SR4 regarding combat spells. 
Let's say between the mage and the target is a window. What happens if   
the mage throws a manabolt/manaball and what happens when he throws a   
Flamethrower/Fireball? 

And what the heck was the difference between mana ball and power ball   
in older versions or does my memory plays me a trick and only one of   
those existed?
