What's your favorite city to Shadowrun in?
The game of course has Seattle, which is pretty good because it has a
lot of story hooks (Corporate presence, NAN presence, and
international gangs/mafia) and a variety of terrain but pretty stable
weather, and some nature threats in the form of volcanoes and
earthquakes (and possibly a tidal wave if your GM is really evil).
I ran a few adventures in Denver while it's full of story hooks all of
the borders turned out to be more of a pain in the ass than anything.
I've also used Chicago (cuz Bug City rocks) and that was okay.
When I run Shadowrun again I'm pretty sure I'm going to use Manhatten
Island. One the one hand it's far removed from NAN, but the
population density is so high and international that there's plenty of
variation with regards to people. The subway system is just way to
much of a source of fun and challenges. Central Park is Central Park.
Definite corporate presence.
