Any item is fair game. It's your game and setting to do with as you
please. Sourcebooks and adventures are just suggestions, not cast iron
gaming laws enforced by the gaming police (and their +5 wet noodles of
chastisement).
If you pick an item from Dunk's Will that subsequently turns up in an
NPCs hand in a more recent sourcebook, the GM is quite able to say,
"Oops...okay, that NPC doesn't have that item." But, really, what are
the chances of bumping into a rare item and unique NPC like that in
your game?
So it's a fairly safe bet you can just use the items you want for your
game.
