True.  But it should also be noted that (a) nobody is suggesting that
everyone should play evil characters, or that anyone who doesn't want
to should be thought any less of in any respect, and (b) that the
whole point of an acting role is to perform it for an relatively large
audience, usually of the general public.  

A roleplaying game is not (usually) performed for an audience - it is
experienced only by the players (including the GM), and thus need only
be suitable for those involved, not for any outsider.  Would you also
consider actors improvising evil characters as an exercise for class
somehow wrong?
