I would think that much of it would be obvious, including not only the 
fact that actors generally don't write their own parts but the fact that 
they generally memorize, rehearse, and often perform those same lines over

and over again.  In fact, there are plenty of cases where actors ****tray 
characters that they don't know everything about (e.g., the actors in 
Lost, the false lines that David Prowse read while filming the "I'm your 
father" scene in Empire, etc.) and simply express the emotions that the 
script or director tells them to express.  Put simply, a role-player must 
think about what their character says and does while an actor is told such
things via a script.
