Consider it as a "Buff" with a 1-minute duration.
Do you have any /other/ 1m-duration Buff's?  How do you make use of THEM
(if you do)?

Away from my books and not recalling the item, but I presume you apply the
potion TO the weapon (rather than drinking it, and whatever weapon you
wield
is Blessed)?

If so... I'm inclined to think you could use one o' those assassin's
blades,
with a poison-reservoir in the hilt...  Don't recall the name, or even if
it's a core/canonical weapon, or out of some prior edition or noncanonical
source...
