That's not unusual. Newbie queue games are not fun to GM. I don't GM
Newbie gunboat at all and I am taking a break from standard newb games
until I have a chance to develop my GM house rules in order to more
clearly communicate my opinions on some common issues that some less
experienced players often think are sufficiently ambiguous in the rules
to justify bad behavior. That leaves two to four GMs serving that
queue. If any of them are having technical issues with their judges
at the moment or had issues recently then the queue can get quite large
before someone starts games for it. Don't be surprised if it moves
quickly. I've been known to wait until the queue has 21 players then
start 3 games. As soon as the first game fills, I set the next one
"list" so that it will fill too. The third game either requires another
trip to the queue or fills from the openings list. The signon
percentage for newbie queue games is about 50%.
