I have created a new Yahoogroup for administrators of online Diplomacy
servers:
Diplomacy Online Abuse Report
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/dip_report/
This group exists to share information about those who cheat or otherwise
abuse online Diplomacy services. Discussion on specific abuses with an
emphasis on how to identify the individual users is the focus of the list.
General policy discussions are permitted, but security implementations
specific to a certain platform - for example, how a cheater was discovered
on an nJudge - should be referred to a discussion list for that particular
platform. Reports should contain a concise description of the offense and
any identifying information available. This list will be of limited value
for those whose programs have limited ability to collect or use this
information.
To join this group or read the archives, you must be verified as the
administrator of an online Diplomacy adjudicator which accepts user
registrations and orders over the Internet, whether by web, email or other
service. Your membership application should include your name, your site
(or judge) and the administrative address for your service.
This is a support list for administrators, not an appeals list for
player grievances. No outside mail will be accepted. Advice will only
be given where solicited. Members are not bound to enforce the policies
of other members. The purpose of the list is to share information so
that other members may take pre-emptive action at their discretion or
be advised of past abuses if a similar situation arises on their own
servers.
