Alliance in No Press - Fw: USAK:fge00002 diary #0 from M

by Chris Babcock <cbabcock@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 12, 2008 at 08:22 AM

This is how I replied to an accusation in a no press game. After double
checking the registration information and the game history, it was
clear to me that there was no reason to suspect collusion.

Maps are available at:
http://www.floc.net/observer.py?judge=USAK&game=fge00002&page=game

If there are any comments on the game, I'll be glad to share some of
the surprises from the diary entries.

Diary entry from Master in fge00002 for phase F1902B:

> One suspects off-board collusion. The Russian martyrdom is too much,
> especially since BER was almost a sure thing.

Allow me to assure you that the collusion was strictly above board -

Information about communication in no-press diplomacy
games may be found in Simon Szykman's article at:
	http://www.diplom.org/Zine/W1995A/Szykman/NoPress.html

The French signal of an attack on Munich was clear. Russia's moves were
both tactically and strategically sound.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. If you have questions about
the specifics of this game, I'll be discussing the Franco-Russian
alliance in the Usenet group rec.games.diplomacy after the game ends.
