REQUIEM and REQPATCH.WAD

by "Stephen Howe" <NOSPAMsjhowe@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 9, 2004 at 01:54 AM

Hi,

I have downloaded REQHELP.ZIP which is a series of no-monster help files
to
show all secrets in Requiem. It is there on various Doom mirrors where
REQUIEM.ZIP is. The main reason for this is that I only get 96% items and
86% secrets on level 12
I suspect getting 100% is impossible. There are 2 areas in the SE of the
map
that refuse to open up. IDCLIP would do it but if it is legitimately
possible then I want to know.

But the ZIP file mentions the LMPs will demo-desync without REQPATCH.WAD.
The author gives a web-site address http://www.geocities.com/metabolist/
and
after web-site redirection, annoyingly enough, it is not available to
download.
I have emailed the author for a copy.
So far, I have not heard back.
Anyone know where I can get this patch WAD?

Also, in my opinion, if the collection of LMPs will not run without the
patch, then it should be distributed with the ZIP.
Is there anyway of getting consensus on this, so that all mirrors that
carry
an updated ZIP with this WAD file within.
Really I need to get in contact with the author, suggest this (it is in
his
interest) and see if an updated ZIP can be rolled out.

Cheers

Stephen Howe
