Imagine trying to escape something like this through a maze of dark,
narrow,
and claustrophobic corrodors and small rooms. You can't see the
Cyberdemon, but
you can hear it "clomp clomp clomp" closer to you. You wind up in a
marine's
quarters (or some other, small, "cozy", seemingly secure area) only to
have
the Cyberdemon come right through the wall, and begin firing.
I still remember the scare I got when I was playing Icarus(?), and saw a
whole bunch of solders comming through the walls at me. A Cyberdemon would
guarantee a change of underpants. :)
