He could just write that FUAOL message and go to AT&T Worldnet; more
newsgroups for less money. AT&T runs standard servers, so they don't
care which browser, newsreader and email client you use. Or, if he can
afford it, he can go to his local cable-tv monopoly for broadband service.
The first time I started a multimagabyte download after switching to Cox,
I looked away for a few seconds and thought that the download had failed
because I didn't see a progress bar. Then I noticed the "Done."
