That's Hell alright. My favorite area of the game, right there. Very 
spooky. Then it goes downhill as the final fight of the map approaches.

Lets, see, if I remember right the exit only unlocks after you fight a few

more imps. Did you walk to the ends of both hallways? There's nothing 
obviously im****tant in the left hall, I don't think, but you have to
trigger 
an ambush near the far end of it before the door opens.
