Doom 3 Crashes During Game Play (PLZ HELP!)

by yashars@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Feb 12, 2005 at 07:37 PM

Hi,

I was hoping someone would be able to help me out. I installed Doom 3,

and started it up with no problems. I then started playing the game,
and just after a little bit of game play, the game shuts down and
closes completely. No error messages, no warnings of any sort. It just

takes me back to windows desktop, and the game is closed. I check the
Task Manager, and there is nothing there, almost as if it didn't exist.

I then restart the game through windows, and it goes back to the
beginning of the game, and then, again, it crashes after some game
play.

My PC does have all the requirements:

Intel 4 @[EMAIL PROTECTED]
 2.8GHZ with HP Technology
512 MB DDR Ram
ATI All In Wonder 9600XT 128MB DDR Video Card

I don't understand why I'm having this problem. I have also installed
the latest version of Direct X 9.0c

Other games, such as Diablo 2, Age Of Empires, etc... all work fine,
this is the only game that seems to be having this problem.

Yes, it is a full version game, it is store bought, not a pirated
version of the game. Also, I had this same problem when I was playing
the DEMO version, but assumed it was a problem with the DEMO, and that
I would not have it in the full version game.

Could someone please help me out, any suggestions as to what to do??

Thanks a lot.
