My system: P4 2.8c, 800FSB, 1GB PC3200, Leadtek 6800.
I needed a new PC a while ago, but I held off an extra year waiting
for Doom3, and I got the 6800 card especially for it. It plays great
in 800x600 with High Quality set. My questions:
1) In the video options, when I click on the box that lets Doom3 scan
my hardware and recommend a setting, it goes to 640x480 and Low
Quality. Why would it do that, when the timedemo shows 65fps on much
higher settings?
2) When I set it to Ultra Quality and 1028x764, the timedemo shows 59
fps, but in actual play, it's jerky. I thought anything over 30 or
40 fps should play fine. What's the deal?
