Yikes! Just started being interested in making my own maps!

by Roseb44170@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Rose) Jul 8, 2004 at 11:13 PM

Egads this is hard! I finally got to the point where I have a good
editing program Edmap but this is such hard going! I was playing
around with this editing program last night (stayed up to @[EMAIL PROTECTED]
). I
finally smartened up and decided to write down exactly how I wanted to
go about this.

First I wanna make some graphics so that I can put them on the walls,
floor and ceilings - I already have the instructions for that. Then I
want to start making my own maps! Like I mentioned above I tried to
make a new map but I kept getting error messages so I'm thinking of
copying the main wad and editing that - which I did and then got a
"texture" error when I tried to play the game. So I am really going
to have to start from scratch.

Just curious to know if anyone else uses the Edmap program.

And what program can you use to create "thing" in doom like trees and
furniture and such?

"How in the heck did I ever get talked into this?"
