We need someone to show that they improve more when they study go.

IIRC go is taught in schools as an elective in many areas, but I don't
know about Xiangqi.

Go is considered more difficult and more in tune with the Con****ian
ideal of the cultivated man.  I believe it is also more a
mandarin-speakers' game, while Xiangqi is associated more with people
from the provinces -- Cantonese speakers, etc.
