The castling long into the mating trap with the pawn on c6 is novel you 
have to give him that. But it looks more like part of a helpmate game!

Not at all 27. Ra7 wins easily. You can't take the N safely.
If 27. ... BxN then 28. Ra8+ Ke7 29. RxR

So yes - you can win the knight but only by losing yet another rook.
