Some of the replies were interesting and some are irrelevant. It is
worth noticing that the old Goren method for distributional counts
comes up to 10+13 while todays ACBL standard counts only Karpin points
and thus gets only 12 and thus does not qualify for an opening bid.

Would it make a difference if the two long suits were majors or if one
were a major and the other a minor?
