I did not dare bid hearts as I somehow got vibes (even online...!) that my

partner was an idiot, mainly by reading how he had written his stats in a 
manner that a "real" player would not write them.  I am pretty sure that
if 
I had bid hearts after the Dbl was left in, he would not leave it in
hearts. 
Of course nothing gained if nothing risked and I should have bid 3H and
see 
if he knows to pass it.

Opener had QJxxx-x-xxx-Qxxx and 2SX was of course a disaster as you all 
knew.  I thought that without discussion and assuming SAYC or some sort of

'standard' in an indy, absent any discussion, the 2S opener would be a 
little more traditional, second seat of all things!  3HX would have gone 
for -probable -500 while 2SX was -800.  Somehow the opponents allowed 
partner to score 4 tricks.  He said it was multi...so Art was clever to 
suspect that.
