If you open this hand (and I certainly don't), then it must be because 
you consider the club suit and hand sufficient to bid clubs on the next 
round.  If the bid to show a minimum D-C hand is 2C, then bid 2C. Any 
time you open 1 of a minor on a 10 count, it should be because you have 
a strong 6-card suit or a good 2nd 5-card suit to show with your rebid. 
  You cannot suppress the very excuse for bidding in the first place.

In my normal methods this hand is not a 1D opener, but
S:x H:xx D:AQJxx C:KQxxx would be.  With the hand that I would open 1D, 
the "standard" rebid is 2C.  I can't make that bid, because that is a 
strong bid in our (KS) methods, forcing and guaranteeing a rebid.  But I 
can bid 3C, showing specifically a minimum 2-suiter (at least 5-5) in 
the minors, not only not forcing, but non-constructive.
