If partner is unknown, I'd tend to let him stew in his own juices.

Because I have no idea about the opponents' equity in this deal (-920?
-980? -460), I am unwilling to risk an extra -300 by running to 3h
even though spades are known to be breaking badly and hearts are not
known yet.
