I don't have a strong opinion about this hand and I think its a
difficult bidding problem (even if that makes me a child). So I gave
it to a few expert players as a bidding problem.

Steve Robinson
When given the original problem (1D-P-1S-?), Steve Robinson took two
full minutes, then replied, "pass, I guess." When 1NT was passed back
to him, he again thought a long time and said "2C, I guess."

Justin Lall
Justin overcalled 2C, commenting that in this modern world, sometimes
LHO has opened on 11 and RHO has responded on 0.

Ira Chorush
Ira said it was a difficult problem. He would double 1S, planning to
correct 2H to 2NT (with trepidation) and 3H to 3NT (with confidence).
His second choice was 2C. He disliked 1NT because he thought the hand
too strong. He did liked pass of 1S even less because he would often
be unable to describe the hand later on.

An interesting note. He thought that the balancing double auction:
1D-P-1S-P
1NT-P-P-X

implied a hand more like this: AKTx, QJTx, AQxx, x.
