It isn't, in terms of technical merit, but this reminds me of Skid
Simon's admonition to try for the best result possible rather than the
best possible result.  I don't know that it would feel much better to
be undone by a committee than by Mrs. Guggenheim.  :-)  But pard and I
are inclined to go with the best technical method that we can handle,
try like h**l to maintain tempo, and stay with it until we do lose in
committee before giving up.
