This is easy, just play your 2H opening as 8-10 with a singleton in the 
other major!

In other words, I think you're unlucky, and this bad luck comes about as 
a result of pre-empts being fairly wide-ranging -  which is a good 
thing.  Opponents will be under pressure to guess right more often.
