Some time ago, I played around with an idea that I never really
pursued and probably should have:

1M-?

2nt =3D 10+ hcps, no singleton/void, 4+ sup****t
3c =3D 7-9 OR 13+ hcps, any 4-card raise with a singleton somewhere
3d =3D 7+ hcps, any 4-card raise with a void somewhere.  GF
3M =3D 7-9 hcps, 4 card raise without a singleton
immediate splinter =3D limited to 10-12 hcps, therefore slam interest
only if opener is non-minimum without waste in the splintered suit.

My basic view is that when slam is not in the picture, the LOCATION of
responder's shortness is usually not im****tant, so it is preferable
simply to announce possession (or not) of such shortness and wait for
opener to show slam interest before locating it.

Still, that's only a view.  I have little simulation evidence with
which to sup****t it.
