How do you know your partner won't be disappointed not to be in 6H
with club shortness?

I don't. But I'm not that worried. If he had a slam try with short clubs
he
might have been able to bid 4C over 2H. And we're scarcely any worse off
than if I ask and bid 4H next. Showing opener's shortness may help the
defense to game - picture KQxx,AQJxx,xxx,x. And if I'm cueing after I hear
of this wonderful club shortness, I may give the opponents an op****tunity
to
double for the killing lead, all when partner was just making a game try.
