Ah, yes, on occasion this game is humbling, especially for SOB's like
me.

Here were the two hands:

Opener       Responder
Ax            KJ9xx
Jx            Qx
AQxx          xx
AKQJx         T9xx

As opener, I felt that all of the following had to be true (BTW, we
were not playing leb/4th suit to sign off as some thought we must be
playing.  2s showed 5 and 2h would have shown 4):

1c.2d = strong because a reverse
3h = too strong to sign off (if minimum, 2nt or 3c) not 5-6 minors
(else 3d), not 3 spades (else raise to 3s, 4s, or splinter with 4h),
and no secure heart stopper (else 3nt)
4s = tentative suggestion of place to play with Hx in spades.

I claimed that this was an entirely intelligible sequence to my
partner, who later confessed a lack of understanding as to what the 3h.
4s sequence meant.

It is clear that I owe Steven an apology since the variety of
responses to the thread indicate that there is not a consensus on what
this sequence shows.

Someone else mebbe it was Joh R M said, it is difficult to get reverse 
auctions right without a responder's weakness showing bid available. I
agree 
with that.
