I don't know about you, but after a double in that position (red
between two bidding opps) I'm bidding 3S and then pu****ng 4D to 5D.
However, funny you should mention the intervening bidding. At the
table, 3D was followed with 3S (by partner), then a 3NT rebid by the
3D bidder. The next bid was 5D.
