serious objections.

If 3C is the right bid now after your partner has bid your shortage and
the 
opponents have found a fit and exchanged some information on their
strength 
then why did you not open 4C?

I would not have opened, but the point I make is that an opening pre-empt 
takes away bidding space and makes the oppo guess so it is not possible to

have a hand that is not suitable for a pre-empt but can bid at the 3 level

later with two exceptions:

1. you have a fit for partner (in this auction I take 3C as invitational
in 
hearts with club values)

2. you have a 4 card major and a sound pre-empt eg:
P  1D  P  2D
3C = clubs + a major.
