Watch out - I checked on-line and there are three books with that
title.

The one that you want is be Hervey.

If it is any help, chapter titles are:

1. Brief history of the pack
2. Before bridge
3. Naming the game
4. Seventy years of bridge
5 A bridge player's vocabulary
6. On being dealt a suit each
7. Gamblers all
8. The professionals among us
9. A gift of the gods
10. On psychology
11. Lady luck plays a part
12. Some matters of convention
13. The coffee-house
14. Sensational deals

The Bennett case is mentioned in the last chapter
