Are you somehow suggesting that North has a bid with
Ax
Ax
Axxx
KJxxx
over 2h p 3h ?
What bid might that be?
Or are you suggesting that after 2h p 3h p; p 3s p ?
advancer should explore for a club fit? Could not overcaller have a
long spade suit in a hand too weak to overcall 2s, such as
KQxxxx
xx
Kxx
xx
No, I can't agree with either the view that north's hand has a
descriptive call to make over 3h, or that north should explore for a
club fit over 3s.
To me, this hand falls into the category of "preempts work."

I agree. I can't see any way that N can enter the bidding intelligently,
either directly over 3H or later. Unless one insists that any hand with
16
points must do something...ugh. No thanks.
