by the way - I go back many years
Jim and Hugh Smith used to play on teams with Bill Christian and Terry 
Michaels for several years - Many times Don Caton and Joe Gotlier would 
play on those teams - Joe Gotlier was the best kept bridge secret in the 
country and Don Caton IMHO is one of the top 3 players in Fla for many 
years.  Perhaps John Ardlege (2 time winner of Bridge World's bidding 
contest) might be the least known world class player only know by locals.

I was never very good at the game although a lot of people thought I 
was.  I found out early that bridge is a simple game - get a good 
partner and try not to do too much stupid stuff.  Let him make all the 
hard bids and let him play all the hard hands and then talk a good game 
over cocktails.
