Horney (Jim MaHorner's nickname) is a fine player but a somewhat 
difficult partner from time to time.  I have played on a few teams with 
him and one of his old partners - Hugh Smith.  Played on a few teams 
with Larry Griffy and Craig Hemphill from Jacksonville.  One of those 
teams DESTROYED the reining world champions in a regional by a score of 
38-0 with the client in the room watching football.  I was playing with 
Bob Kehoe (one time REAL JERK) who played with Barry Crane (look him up) 
for many years.  Bob really disliked Eddie Wold and truly enjoyed that 
victory

Hugh Smith and I have been friends for many years and have had more than 
one adult beverage together.  I guess Mel is considered the best player 
in Tallahassee since Jim plays little anymore. Tallahassee has more than 
it fair share of "cheats" - one is even considered to be a good player.

I have two games over 80% and one of the score sheets to show it.  The 
other was long before computer scoring but it was a well know victory

Bridge is truly an interesting game and i have friends from many areas 
of the planet as a direct result of my playing days.  Most of the old 
timers and real mavericks of the game have passed away.  I have spent 
many hours in hospitality rooms drinking and "watching" (it was illegal) 
a little pot being smoked as we discussed bridge hands until daylight 
and then go play bridge all day.  I played OK Bridge long before the 
windows interface with all unix commands.  Matt wrote the program so he 
could play bridge on line with his girlfriend and the few bridge player 
with computers and Internet access played and loved it.  It was free or 
you could pay $5 to help with his cost.  Wish I played poker as well.
