I do NOT like poker. It falls so short of duplicate bridge.
I hope they get into duplicate poker, hds up would be best. THEN we will
see
some great play.
I LOVE duplicate, but when WELOS became illegal, well, nothing was
comparatively fun anymore.

One pair of great folk in Tallahassee was the ... Gibbs? They played KS
and were the (second-place) opposition for correct contracts once I got
into play with Jim Mahorner.
My first duplicate ever, he took the card at one end of his spread, placed
it in the middle, removed a card right by it and placed it on the other
end.
This during the bidding. I called the director and said the man had a
6-5-1-1 hand, per what he had just done. Colonel Lowery looked and was
highly amused and the professor (FSU, English) highly embarrassed.)
I had played bridge once before, years before, and highly upset a Troy
professor, but with an astounding bid at the six level, after they
voluntarily bid to slam.

Earl Underwood and I played RS while 'touring' as Mayflower independent
and
illegal helper.
It was a lot of fun and helped inform my super-aggressive/light opener
WELOS.
"Pre-balancing".
I delighted in all those occasions where we both passed, let the opp open
the bidding, and then deliberately get to solid game bids. The 'rhythm'
was fun.

LOL
I was gonna say your mp 'dick' was as much bigger than mine than as your
tummy was greater than mine, but then I saw your confession in another
post.
I had close to 50 in my first 6 months or so, and probably registered
them,
but I never registered any after that, as far as I can remember. In one 3
month period I won every master point night in the area. I played very
rarely in tourneys.
And although a great partner with a fondness for the Moysean fit and
short-pointed NT game play, I was not a national standard card player, by
far I guess.
