Diplomacy World Website Features: Article of the Week and the DW Blog

by Dougray30 <dougray30@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 11, 2008 at 09:22 AM

There are two features of the Diplomacy World website which many
people are not aware of. I wanted to take a moment to call them both
to your attention.

The first is the Article of the Week section. Found under the
"Articles" menu button, this page features an article out of Diplomacy
World's past which has never been posted to the site in html format
before. The article can be from any era, and cover any topic.
Sometimes I select it randomly, other times I choose it for specific
reasons. I generally update the Article of the Week on Thursday or
Friday. The prior AOTW's are then moved to the general Articles
section under their respective topic. In this way we add something
new to the site every week, and continue to build the catalog of back
articles for you to enjoy. Of course, full issues are always
available for download, but sometimes you just have enough time to
read an article or two, or maybe you are looking for a specific
topic. These back articles serve those purposes, among others. The
Article of the Week section can be found at http://www.diplomacyworld.net

The second feature is the Diplomacy World blog. This blog rarely
contains any original material. Instead, it is more like a Diplomacy
newswire. Tournament results, convention announcements, upcoming
house games, new websites, and anything else I find around the
Diplomacy community are posted there. I also post entires with any
news related to Diplomacy World itself, or when I update the website
(such as when the Article of the Week has been updated). The blog has
a free subscribe feature which will send you each new entry via email,
and you can also subscribe to the RSS feed. The blog can be found via
the link on the Diplomacy World website, or directly at
http://blog.diplomacyworld.net

Okay, I've taken up enough of your time. Have a great day!
