VOID Phase 8
Eradicates Opponents' Tokens
You have the power to eradicate. When you are a main player, any of
your opponent's and his allies' tokens that are lost as a result of
the challenge are permanently removed from the game instead of going
to the warp. If a player loses more than 15 of his original tokens
through eradication and can no longer win, he discards his hand and is
out of the game.
HISTORY: Taught from vortexhood that no other intelligent life
existed, the Voids were deeply offended to learn of alien races. They
are now on a holy campaign to cleanse the heavens of all gross,
material beings.
FLARE
Infinity
Wild: You may take one planet, and all the tokens on it, out of the
game.
Phase 8
Super: You may use your power of eradication as an ally.
PULSAR
Infinity
Con: For any effect that allows you to take your tokens out of the
warp, you may take them out of the Void and put them in the warp.
Interphase
Pro: Once per challenge remove a token from the game.
Eon/Avalon:

Flare
Wild: "Use once and discard".
I think the original Eon version allowed you to "zap" another player's
Edict.

Cosmic Monopoly
Long version only. Monopoly tokens are not eradicated. Players who
do not have enough cosmic tokens to remain on their property still
retain owner****p of those properties for which they have the title
deed card. Players can still challenge properties with their Monopoly
token. A player with no cosmic tokens is out of the game. Properties
he owned by himself are returned to the bank.
Commentary: This is a resource power. Out of all the powers, I dread
playing against Void the most. Despite the annoyance value, I would
rather face *****sor or Assassin. It all has to do with the great
value I place on tokens. When another player has Void, it becomes a
target. Even though *****sor is first on my list, I could easily
change my mind to make it Void. I rarely, if ever, ally against Void
when he's a main player. I have to be overly confident that his
opponent can win (sometimes he still loses).
In one game I took a chance to cause the Void player to lose his third
home base and thus his power, but he had a Cosmic Zap against my
Mirror, dagnamit! I even told the player that Void is a target of
mine. When another player invoked Wild Disease (Eon version), because
no one was willing to sacrifice a power, everyone had to lose the
entire Wild Disease list. The player chose to get rid of Void (multi-
power game). In gratitude, when next time I opposed him as offensive
player, I purposely did not attempt to take away his third home base
and thus his powers. I even told him so.
As for the power itself, it's an awesome one. When given the choice,
I will greedily and ecstatically keep the power. I will laugh away as
other players lose their tokens to the Void, metaphorically speaking.
I don't mind passing up Void for another power when given the choice,
but if passing it up meant giving it to another player as a choice,
that I will never do. If it means giving the player Pacifist or
Butler, I will have to grit my teeth and do it.
Some powers give players lots of tokens - Midas, Symbiote, Wabbit
etc. For those powers, losing 15+ tokens to the Void does not put
them out of the game, though depending upon the lost tokens, Symbiote
can be strained. However, I have yet to see anyone lose that many
tokens to Void.
