VICTOR Phase 8
Better Living Through Winning
You have the power to gain rank. Whenever your tokens are involved in
winning a challenge as a main player or ally, they each increase their
rank by one. In future challenges, each token's value is equal to its
rank. Whenever a token with a rank above one is involved in losing a
challenge when you are a main player or ally, its rank is returned to
one. All tokens are worth one for consolation and rewards.
History: Coming from a parallel universe, the Victors have invaded to
conquer all. Ruthless to no end, they eliminate their own weaklings
to have betters take their place. =93We all move up in rank!=94

Phase 8
Wild: As a winning main player, you may collect one card from the deck
or one token from the warp for each opposing token lost to the warp.
This does include allies.
Phase 8
Super: Your losing tokens do not lose rank.
PULSAR
Phase 8
Con: All of Victor's tokens are now worth 2 for determining challenge
totals. They no longer increase in rank. They cannot lose their rank
and will retain their original rank when this effect is no longer in
play. They are also worth 2 for consolation and rewards.
Phase 8
Pro: Your tokens count as their rank value for consolation and
rewards.

Cosmic Monopoly
Long version only. Your Monopoly token also gains rank. It does not
lose its rank upon being involved in losing a challenge, but it does
lose its rank upon going to Jail.
Commentary: This is a combat power from Matt Stone's set. This is a
great power. Every challenge point counts, and Victor can give you a
good token count advantage without having to risk many tokens. Even
if you decide to risk 4 tokens in a challenge, you can get a large
combat value advantage before Challenge Cards are played.
To signify the increased in rank can be a problem, hence the Expert
rating because in my opinion people who enjoy Cosmic at its most
Cosmic would tolerate and accept any physical inconvenience that may
result. Those who prefer tamer games probably wouldn't want to
bother. Matt Stone's set has small cones from the British West End
Cosmic Encounter set. The Victor player uses those for tokens. When
a token gains a rank, a cone is stacked on top of the cone. In a
given game if there are tokens of colors not in use, you can stack
them underneath Victor's tokens. If necessary, you can use Lucre
counters. You can replace a token with a 2 Lucre counter to indicate
a combat value of two, for example.
